Every government on Earth just sat down to talk AI risk. All 193 UN states opened Geneva's first AI governance summit. A UN panel says AI is moving faster than governments can track.

This is the first truly global AI summit. Every UN member state sent someone to Geneva.

Yoshua Bengio co-chairs the UN's Scientific Panel on AI. He said science can't guarantee advanced AI won't cause catastrophic harm. The panel found AI capability is outpacing every government's ability to regulate it.
