Anthropic Sends 1,000 Fellows Into Nonprofits
11JUN
Anthropic is paying people to spread Claude. It will spend $150 million to embed 1,000 trained fellows inside US nonprofits for a year. No degree required to apply.
The move builds a human distribution layer. Fellows learn the tool, then teach it where they work.
Daniela Amodei runs the program. Critics call it a soft moat - the maker also coaches the buyers. One board adviser called it the fox guarding the henhouse.
Watch whether other labs copy the playbook. OpenAI and Google have deeper pockets and bigger nonprofit ties.
